Ann McMillin , REALTOR
Born and raised in upstate New York, Ann has been interested in American history since she was a young girl. This eventually led her to a Bachelors of Arts degree in American Studies at Siena College, as well as work towards a Masters degree in Public History at the University of Albany. It was while interning at Gettysburg National Military Park as both an undergrad and graduate student that she fell in love with the south-central Pennsylvania area.
Ann moved to Carlisle ten years ago when she married her husband, Doug McMillin. She is step-mother to three teen-aged children, all of whom attend the Carlisle Area School District. The family is very active with the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, the Auxiliary to the Sons, the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and the Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic. Ann has served these organizations on the local, state, and national levels.
Ann also has a great love of cooking, which she feels is a passion that has been handed down through the generations. Whether it’s making her father’s lasagna or her grandmother’s molasses cookies, it reminds her of family and traditions. The joy and laughter that fills the kitchen truly make a house into a home.
In her spare time, Ann enjoys doing historical and genealogical research at the many research archives in the area, including the Cumberland County Historical Society, and the Army Heritage Education Center. She appreciates the numerous historical properties in the area, and looks forward to helping you find the perfect place to call home.
